This Privacy Policy describes how Get Gone ("App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Overview

Get Gone is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require an account, we do not collect personal information, and your data stays on your device.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Location data
• Calendar data (we export TO your calendar, we don't read FROM it)
• Photos or media
• Your employer or workplace information

3. Information Stored Locally

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Settings: Country, year, PTO days, work schedule preferences
• Constraints: Company shutdowns, planned trips, family events, blackout dates, and other user-entered constraints
• Pro status: Whether you have purchased Get Gone Pro

This data remains on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

4. Information We Collect

We collect limited anonymous data to improve the App:

Analytics (via Firebase Analytics)

• App opens, screen views, feature usage
• Device type and operating system version
• Crash reports and error logs
• Country (derived from device settings, not precise location)

This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. We use it to understand how the App is used and to fix bugs.

Purchase Information

• In-app purchase transactions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store)
• We receive confirmation that a purchase was made but do not receive payment details, credit card numbers, or billing addresses

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Nager.Date API

• Provides public holiday data
• We send only the country code and year to retrieve holidays
• No personal data is transmitted

Firebase (Google)

• Provides anonymous analytics and crash reporting
• Privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Apple App Store / Google Play Store

• Handles app distribution and in-app purchases, subject to their privacy policies

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Anonymous analytics data may be processed by Firebase (Google) as described above.

7. Data Retention

• Local data: Stored on your device until you delete the App or clear app data
• Analytics data: Retained by Firebase according to their data retention policies (typically 14 months)

8. Children's Privacy

Get Gone is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your data:

• Access: Your data is stored locally on your device; you have full access to it
• Deletion: Uninstall the App to delete all local data
• Opt-out of analytics: You can limit ad tracking and analytics in your device settings

10. Security

We implement reasonable measures to protect the App and its services. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. Since your personal data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security measures (passcode, biometrics, encryption).

11. International Users

The App is available worldwide. By using the App, you consent to the processing of anonymous analytics data in the United States, where Firebase servers may be located.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
